I found this in a bag of generic wheats, it seems a little bit thinner then other coins, can anyone verify if it is real, and if so, an approximate value?

| I found something like this before a few months ago. People told me it was a fake and probably a coin used in a magic trick. Regardless, I sent it off to be graded and it came back as real. At the time I looked on eBay and a coin with a blank obverse recently sold for over $100. I’d keep it and get it graded. Congrats! |

let me guess, 2 coin blanks stuck together. Coins are stamped. One with no obverse, one with no reverse.
Pretty cool. |

| Weigh it. If it weighs a full 3.1 grams, you have a great find! If it weighs less, the back was probably machined off. I found a copper with the same sort of blank reverse, but it was over half a gram light and under magnification I could see the machining marks. |

| What Nate said! Looking at the edge of your coin it looks like it was machined off, but the weight will be the tell tale. |

| I have a coin like this in my collection. I have been told by many people that it was ground off and it is impossible to have a blank reverse so i do not know |

no, it is very possible to have a blank reverse, but very rare. But as nate said... often those found were ground/machined off.
I have one that is light. So probably machined off, but real ones are out there!!! |

| I should clarify.... I have a 1970's memorial cent that is blank on one side..... but it is light, and so, probably an altered one, not authentic. |

It is hard to tell from your picture, but is there any rim at all on the reverse?
You might try contacting CONECA to see if they could help you. |

| There isn't any rim on the reverse...I'm going to try to sell it on eBay as a novelty item. |

| you really should weigh it. Would be worth some money if it weighed 3.1 grams. |
