I keep in touch with my former co-workers from my last job, and they too have cut many perks. Right before I left, they started charging health insurance premiums based on how much money you made. Then they started restricting how many office supplies you could use.
After I left it snowballed. Firt it was all of the company sponsored events (summer picnic, summer golf outing, holiday party) that were axed. Then they cut out the 401K matching contributions. Now I have been told that the employees have to pay 25 cents for a cup of coffee when it was previously free with no limit.
My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.
quote:To some shareholders, though, the cost savings are peanuts compared with executive pay: The head of Citigroup took home a $38 million pay package last year. Coke's got $20 million, Kraft's $16 million and GM's almost $15 million.
"You do with less, so that we can have more, comrade."
The silver [is] mine, and the gold [is] mine, saith the LORD of hosts. Hag 2:8 [/b] He created it. He controls it. He gave it to us for His use. Why did we turn from sound scriptural currency that PROTECTS us?
