The pics don't do it justice, this coin is going to be hot. Limited mintage, 1st silver verion of a highly sought after gold proof...
The way the frosting is done on the sun is incredible, as you tilt the coin the sun changes many different shades. Somehow there seems to be some micro proof type fields to give this effect..
Its mystic...

| I bought one through Eurocollection as well. It's almost 10bucks less then the Downie Website. And apparently I got bonus points with euro. |

| I think it's a very nice coin, but too pricey for me. |

| I got enough invested in silver to make me happy. I am just buying stuff that looks nice. Not really on the investment side, if it does appreciate, then I win. |

I know, I know, high priced silver. :)
If this plays out like I think, with the 2 coins I bought, I should be able to get one for practically spot, like I did with the D&D blue ringed octopus coin...
These Kangaroos already selling for over list on Ebay.

The nice upside of this coin is, it has 2 interests, the Fab 12 collectors and the gold proof version collectors, only 4K coins for these people to share...

“Australia 2009 $1 Kangaroo At Sunset F12 Privy 1oz Silver Proof”
What does F12 Privy mean? Where I’m from a privy has nothing to do with coins.
Great looking coin by the way.

Heh...I thought the same thing when I first saw "privy" in conjunction with a Maple, but here's what the interwebs say:
"A mark, similar to a mintmark, placed in the design of a coin to identify the maker or to indicate a special purpose for the release of the item." |

That is a very nice looking coin! If you can work the Feebay thing and get it for more or less spot, my hat's off to you. (And, I think I may want to invest in your "oober scheme". How much to get in on the ground floor?) |

Its a bubble market like most in these times are, you play the timing right you can come out ahead. If I miss it didn't cost me too much...

I think I knew a fellow in College that did something similar with some sort of Herbal Folk Remedy. I'm not really to sure, my memory is a bit hazy for some reason... |
