I've brought broken steel ones I got for free and received a whopping 2 cents a pound. I guess if you can find ones with aluminum or titanium shafts you could do okay. Personally if they aren't free I'd stay away from them. When yard saling watch for brass items, left over copper pipe, aluminum pots and pans. I always carry a postal scale with me yard saling. Call the scrap yards in your area to see what they are paying, then start searching.
