They have pictures and in some cases metal content of different coins, especially world coins.
On the middle left hand side of the site is the block to choose the region of the world where your coin is from.
Browse database by country Select Region
(You have to know where the coin came form for this to be of any real use)
I used the site to look up a British Virgin Islands $1 coin and found out the coin I have is .925 Sterling. Other reference books I have searched through only mentioned the cupronickel regular strikes.
Even if you don't have any coins to look up, it is still an interesting site to check out.

Kind of a nice coin web site. There are really a lot of those poping up all the time lately. Problem is no good way to find them and/or remember where they are. Someone should really make a list of all the coin web sites some day.
