This article notes that more and more people are cashing in their piggy banks for paper dollars. Has anyone noticed a percentage increase in copper or silver from their recent searches?

no increases here. Copper % is down slightly, silver too, except one obvious dump I got a week ago.

I just did a box that yielded 38.60% 1959-82 coppers and was dated Feb 2nd, but the box I did right before that yielded only 30.32% 1959-82 coppers so it's still hit or miss for me.

My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

Not noticing any increase in coppers, but I do seem to have an increase in wheats.

Same. Copper percents have been about the same except for a modest spike late last year, though I'm finding at least twice as many wheats per box on average.

Also, I'm getting fewer older pennies which are near uncirculated or better. Not sure if this is related or not, but it's possible.

Actually, It's been awhile since I sorted my pennies (they're acinappropriate languageulating at the moment), but since Christmas, I've had a sharp decline in the volume of coins I'm getting from my local bags. Volume-wise, people aren't cashing in as much as they did last year.
