I would not be surprised if the Chinese start buying any and everything they can in the U.S. More so than they already are. Same with the Japanese and the Middle Eastern nations holding our debt.
Every airport, seaport, loading dock, highway, utility company, factory, company, building, skyscraper, railroad, national park and forest, oil field, coal mine, water way, real estate, whole sections of cities (already started in Detroit), everything.
That would protect their investment. These things all have tangible value. The dollar doesn't.
They would then literally "own" us. At that point they may want to employ "security" (aka military troops) to guard their property in their Amerikan territories...
They may even desire to sell or trade their various Amerikan possessions with other nations. Buying, selling and trading us like a Monopoly game...
