The Zimbabwean dollar for all intensive purposes has finally made it to 0. The government officially is stopping its efforts to prevent people from doing business in other currencies and people are no longer using the Zimbabwean dollar to pay salaries or go shopping.
I assume that either officially adopt someone elses currency or they start a new currency. If they start a new currency, they will have to do a great song and dance to get anybody to buy into it. Maybe a regime change coupled with a new currency? Or maybe a few gold and/or coins sprinkled in with the new FIAT until people are lulled back into using the local currency.
In other words, somebody will hit the reset button and the whole game starts over agains.
