I know this is off topic but I see a lot of them. Todays buyers are offering as much as 2.50 for a certain size. They have a,b,c grade also. Any other size is only paying .50 cents U.S.. I think they want 54 by 48 inches.

I know that you must be careful of who you "collect" from. Grocery stores and manufacturing places do tend to have them piled behind the buildings, but that is usually because they are keeping them to turn in as well (or reuse).
Good idea to collect and turn in, but watch your a**! It can be theft!

The newspaper here has a perpetual ad in the classified section to help yourself to as many as you want at the rear of the distribution center.
At one point we had a problem with people stealing them from behind our machine shop. The police looked into it and the business next door put up a security camera in that area. No more problems. |

| We have people that come by work all the time and get our rejects. I used to be responsible for them and I sold them to a guy for .50 to 1.00 depending on condition. He then rebuilt them and sold them for 4 or 5 dollars each! |
Are you throwing that out? |

Where do you sell the pallets to? Do scarp metal dealars or simular facilites take them of a couple bucks each?
Anyone ever give much thought to collecting cardboard? I think it used to go for $150 per ton? |

| I have a sawmill 1/4 mile from my house and their mainstay is pallet lumber. They make more as pallet lumber than they do as Timbers or building supplies. And one of my neighbors makes GOOD money repairing pallets, I think he has a portable mill, but maybe not. Of course I also have 3 large junkyards within 2 miles of my house, I guess I am in a kind of recourse rich area. God bless the things the affluent don't want around em, lol |
The silver [is] mine, and the gold [is] mine, saith the LORD of hosts. Hag 2:8 [/b] He created it. He controls it. He gave it to us for His use. Why did we turn from sound scriptural currency that PROTECTS us?

We are all in a resource rich area, all we have to do is open our eyes, get off our butts and make use of the things around us. |
