Have 2 coffee cans of pennies, etc. These pennies have "been with me" for 3 or 4 house moves.
So far I've been through about 1/3 of them, and found 8 wheats and what looks to be either a dirty slug or a Liberty nickel. 1887.
Have to say it is addicting to sort through them. .. just one more handful and I'll stop.. really I will.

| Addicted....not me...hey why is the Ryedale not running? Cause the banks are not open yet. That coffee can is just the beginning my friend. Wait till you have a 5 gallon bucket to sort and wish it was a 10 gallon bucket. |

It gets worse.
My brother in law keeps a large vase of cents on his counter. Never does anything with it. I have offered more than once to count it and give him the cash for it. So far he has rebuffed me. The only time I go to his house is for kid’s birthdays and other obligatory family gatherings, times when I would much rather be anywhere else, but we are being a happy and supportive family.
The first time I realized I would rather sort the cents than visit with the in laws I knew I was hooked. Well, it really wasn’t that much of a stretch, sometimes strangling myself would be more fun than visiting the in laws.
