I walked by the gas station and couldn't help noticing that while it wasn't super full, all the spots were taken. 2 of them were taken by a police and mail carier.

| wouldn't it be smart to buy a old tanker truck for $5k and buy 20,000 gallons of gas for say $30k.Then when gas doubles in the summer which we know it will sell for $60k.You can even scrap the truck if ya want. |

| Wouldn't you need a permit or license to store that thing? |

Gasoline with 10%Ethanol or more has a shelf life of 30 days before separation of the fuel begins.
Water on the bottom, next alcohol, then the petroleum on top. This leads to many problems, fuel filters clogged with water, failure of the computer to accurately adjust for inconsistencies resulting in poor fuel mileage, among other things.
Fuel stations rarely have fuel that long and suppliers have ways to deal with it.
Also...
If you have a 2 stroke boat motor it's even worse because it picks up the water and alcohol first without having the oil in the mix. A 2 stroke without oil is not good, not good at all... (read)(very, very expensive)
There are products out there that "claim" to help prevent this. (note the word "claim")
Having said this, I would still store several containers of fuel for "just in case", although I would rotate the stock with newer fuel.
If anything, you would save a few (maybe more, maybe a lot more) Dollars buying now.
Of course you could always buy Oil stocks, and if gas doubles, the stock should too.
You would be taking a chance either way.

Not necessarily.
However, if it should begin to leak the penalties and fines for damage to the "Environment" and adjacent property owners would be far more than the profit gained.

But hey, look on the bright side.
In a few days, were going to have "Change".
Then, everything, e v e r y t h i n g will be ok.......
