I have been a reader of this site for about three years now:

You must be logged in to see this link.

The folks that frequent and post on the site are much sharper than I could ever hope to be in many ways. I think there is huge overlap in our discussions here and the discussions that take place over there.

The posters on The Housing Bubble Blog (or as they like to refer to it, the HBB) tend to be ahead of the crowd when it comes to housing, real estate and investments.
There are a few on that blog who are unwilling to invest in gold or say anything nice about the precious metal, though the operator of The HBB did run "Ben's money and metals" giving his advice on buying gold.

The HBB, like those on Realcent, have little sympathy for the arrogant, the stupid, or those who never thought "what is the worst that could happen?" and then planned to reduce the worst from happening.

Even if you disagree with some of the posters on The HBB, you can't deny the fact they were warning about the housing bubble before it burst. Besides, listening to other viewpoints gives you a clearer picture of what is going on in the world and how to prepare for the changes, and possibly profiting from said changes.

I stay the same.

Will The United States of America end up as the New Imperial Rome?

Well-said keys.

Three years ago I was clueless on how people were able to finance the McMansions and buy the newest SUVs and live life big (so it seemed). I stumbled upon the HBB when looking into banks and their solvency. Since then, their observations from around the country and in some places outside North America, have been very prescient. My appreciation of precious metals and, I guess, commodities too, has been groomed more on this forum than the HBB. The overlap both forums have is the recognition that we need to prepare for harder times that can last quite a while.
