O’Steen & Harrison, PLC represents former customers in claims alleging that Universal Coin & Bullion, 1st Capital Reserve, 1st American Reserve, 1st National Reserve, and 1st Fidelity Reserve engaged in questionable sales practices and other acts in recommending the purchase of precious metal coins and bullion to customers throughout the United States...

Then I would suggest limiting purchases from them to the offer presented here at best until a person learns more about all of this. Such companies most often aren't looking for the small silver investor who want to put $100.00 -$500.00 into precious metals every so often. They usually are looking to score big on at least $10,000 + accounts. They make offers such as this to draw the big money to them. You often recieve the low cost bait offer within two weeks and then a call from a salesman. Most often they will send you all kinds of information on precious metals and how the S is hitting the fan. Most of their information is good until they try to bait and switch you into buying over priced gold or silver "rare" or numismatic coins. They often give the reason of goverment confiscation as why you shouldn't buy bullion silver or gold. If you get a call from a salesman then tell him how you are hoarding copper pennies with your money and wait for the dial tone......... Don't feel too sorry for him because his computer is already dialing another number.
I don't know the facts in the case(s) you stated above, but to be fair, a lot of investors cry foul anytime they lose money for any reason fraud or not. If they make lots of money then they were the smart ones who should get all the credit. If not, it was the fault of the guy who sold it to them. Human nature. |

Here's a better offer for the same company but offered inside of Kiplingers:
New ad inside of Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine from Universal Coin & Bullion, same thing, different price. January 2009 issue.
1/10th GAE for $80, and $12.50 for an SAE. Limit 1 ea.
Vault Verification: UKPLGNC0109 - those are zero's not letter O's 800-459-2646
Offer expires 01/09/09
**The prices are good so why not do both on separate phone calls? :) |
My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

Use a PayPal virtual MasterCard. It can only be charged once, then it's dead. |

I also received today the 2008 NGC BU SAE and colletor's loup. Both were in excellent condition and the coin in particular is very impressive in the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation case.
Invoice marked paid in full. |

By the way, I'm also impressed with some of the information they included with the order. 5 reasons why gold fell and 5 reasons why it should rise again. I'll post some of it when I have the time. |
