last summer I bought a partially filled book of indian heads off of e-bay. The picture wasn't great so i could not tell the condition of the coins. I looked up the dates in the red book and if they were all in G4 they would have been worth $200. I paid $58.
My brother was up for Christmas and I showed it to him. As we were lookng at it, I noticed that the coin that was in the 1875 spot was not a 1875. Instead it was a 1871. That one misplaced coin is easily worth more than what I paid. The other coins are all gravy.
You never know where treasure is going to pop up next, and in this case you had a treasure and you didn't even know it. Glad you didn't resell the coins before you knew what you had.

It is good to be observant and aware. Good for you Knibloe and a great find. (I will note that this was obviously a tame indian from a known domestic herd.)
"Rich," the Old Man said dreamily, "is not baying after what you can't have. Rich is having the time to do what you want to do. Rich is a little whiskey to drink and some food to eat and a roof over your head and a fish pole and a boat and a gun and a dollar for a box of shells. Rich is not owing any money to anybody, and not spending what you haven't got." Robert Ruark
