I just got to thinking, hyperinflation could do to the U.S. what Islamic insurgents haven't been able to do in decades--when the flood of dollars comes pouring back into the U.S. soon and renders our currency worthless, we won't have the money and hence the influence to keep radical Islamists from overrunning the Mideast in general and Israel in particular. Granted, this is just speculation, but I don't know if many people realize not just the economic but also the military and security threats that will mushroom (pun intended) once the U.S. is crippled financially. Any thoughts?

| You got that right. A real hurt to the economy will be a real hurt to national defense. On the other hand there are those who feel that a military industrial complex like we have can only happen in an economy of debt based money and that a debt based money economy needs a big ticket spender like the M.I.C. to keep it going. |

Osama bin Laden's said from the beginning that his plan was to BK the US. Either our leader's are:
A. so stupid that they are playing right into his hand
B. so greedy that they don't mind playing into his hand
C. in on the plan and everything that is happening is by the book
D. all of the above depending on which of our leader's you are talking about
