| I can see the future where the Mercs will be doing the dirty work.....when ever they want to kicked you out of your home they will use their own private army instead of the local police ...going on in the UK at this time. |

Pretty sure the average citizen here has a greater ability to defend themselves with firearms. Not pushovers. At least not me.

There's only one problem.
The military or mercenaries have more fire power.
(full auto, armored piercing and a whole lot more)
Tanks, armored troop transports and helicopters if needed.
(they used them in Waco)
Flash grenades or stun grenades, tear gas, etc. etc.
(they used them in Waco)
Not to mention...
Night vision, infer red lasers and heat imaging that can see through walls.
They can also call in reinforcements.
Fighting looters or people that would do you harm is one thing.
Fighting the military or mercenaries is another.
But, I like the way you think...

At some point a man must draw a line and decide what is worth standing up and fighting for. Would my defence against a military like assault be successful? Probably not. But there would be a fight. If they showed up at my house in tanks, I would be honored that they took my that seriously, hehe. Most of the things you mentioned can be obtained by civilians. Once the first couple of houses are raided, I think people would start to get the picture and maybe some groups would form. Hopefully we will never know....

Remember that when the Israelis invaded Lebanon the guerrilas fighter made them run like dogs back to where they came from so that man to man the IDF could never win a war. They learned their lesson in Lebanon and that's why they are softening their targets in Gaza before sending in their "brave" soldiers.
Here in the US we have more space that we can use to fight the enemy, who ever they might be.
