I went on a sorting binge yesterday and today. Among them were 12 boxes of dimes.
I found 20 Ag - 16 Rosies, 3 Mercs and a '68 Canadian. Also got a 5 pence.

I sorted 7 yesterday and 5 today. Along with 7 boxes of nickels yesterday and 6 today. I'm a little coined out for a couple of days.
oober, the mercs were a pair of '41s and a '42.

you only get half a credit for the cdn. 50% i think. how old on the 5 pence......... my 1946 was silver, not sure when they changed. but the last three i got from the 90s are not silver. just , they do stand out on edge sorting... odd reeding. |

Way to go on the Dimes!! They're to small and hard to handle for me, I guess that leaves more for y'all. Keep up the quest and best of luck. |

Nice finds...are you hand sorting or maybe edge sorting? There's no way I could do that many boxes of dimes without going blind looking at those little dates. |
My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

I'm edge sorting, a whole roll at a time.

Finished sorting another 9 boxes.
I found 17 Rosies, and 2 Canadians. A '60 and another '68. And yet another 5 Pence.
I beat my old record by finding 5 in 1 box. Dimes are treating me real well right now...

I seldom search dimes. Have 4 silvers myself. You have some high percentages there, sheesh!
If you are interested in Numismatic value I think the 1982 dime with NO mintmark is worth searching for they go around for about $100! |
