I'm guessing based on the percentage of 1981's in penny boxes in the US, that Canadian nickle boxes are at least 10% nickle.
Couple that with Canadian currency at a 20% discount to US currency, I would think that someone in Canada could simple send full boxes to the US with the US buyer paying face + shipping + profit and still have both sides be happy?
Is this legal? If so, and if any Canadian's are interested, PM me, I'm very interested!
Yes Canadians can sell coins to the US - no export restriction I'm aware of. I sell Canadian Nickels and Pennies from time to time as well. FasTTcar has way more capacity then me though, and he is an upstanding guy I've done direct deals with before. He's also filled third party orders for me too.
Sending unsorted boxes is a pretty bad idea. Shipping costs on coins are an issue even when sorted already. What to do with the steel coins after you sort in the US? I used to live in the US and know how hard it is to spend Canadian change.
