I emailed coinstar about obtaining coins FROM them and I got this email back from Coinstar customer noservice yesterday and thought you'd get a kick out of it:

Thank you for your interest in Coinstar. Regarding your inquiry of
buying back coins, Coinstar is not in the business of selling coins as
it is time consuming for Coinstar and our Service Providers. In
addition, Coinstar's patented technology allows our processors to filter
out foreign coins and does not accept Eisenhower silver dollars,
Sacajawea coins, 1943 steel pennies and pure silver coins, which coin
collectors are commonly in search of.

If you have further questions or concerns please contact our Customer
Service Center.

Thank you.

I would think contacting your local coinstar in person at their office would be the better bet.

They probably have brinks coming weekly or whatever and might be willing to work a deal.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Coinstar will not play ball. You can try if you want....

Deal

Live free or die.
Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

I thought it was funny that those were the coins they thought I wanted.

I tried contacting the local brinks and another coin sorting company. They would not deal with me either. They only sell to banks. I thought I had a great idea though before they shot me down.

Good luck with coinstar.
You'll do better with your time if you stand by the machine and offer to buy from the dumpers at face value!

There's profit if you melt things!!
