Hi all,
This is a response to the "black dots" post a few threads down.
I don't know if markings on halves necessarily mean that the halves were sorted- I just got a roll in a $500 box that had "2-21" written on the top coin in black marker and I thought, "oh, great- searched." However, inside said roll was a 64 Kennedy.
My theory is that we may be complicating this more that it is. I think most markings are done by FED coin employees simply to verify rolls or to date them. I've gotten my share of skunks in boxes with and without marked coins. JMO.

Only when they CAN'T have it, ......THEN they'll want it.
I love Cents. If you get an UNC box, you win. If you get a regular circ. box, you win. If you get a zinc box, you don't lose....so you still win. |
