I work at a grocery store and was on a break, so I decided to buy a soda. Turns out I was three cents short, so the cashier, who I know, gave me three cents. I told him I would give him three cents the next day and he replies "Don't worry about it, I have like a thousand of them in my car." Being myself, I respond "Oh really, I have about deleted thousand at my house." The next cashier over, joining in, says "Oh well I have like a million in my room" and I respond with "NO REALLY, I have more than deleted thousand in my house." You should have seen the looks on their faces

| Great story. Are you sure the other casher was not a member here? I would really love to know how many millions of pennies we collectively control, but posting numbers in a public forum is really not a great idea so I deleted the sensitive info. kieblera5 we really don't want the world to know you have 500,000 pennies stockpiled now. |

No they were just trying to join in on what they thought was a joke. |

I tell people that if they want to come rob me of my penny hoard, just to let me know before they try.
It's because I want to see how many boxes they start loading up before they realize just how heavy everything is.
Or when I am bringing a couple boxes from the bank to my car.
I'm not worried about getting robbed of the boxes. I want to see how fast someone can run from me with $50 in pennies under their arms!
