ah , i wish i could turn them down, but i cannot.

when i asked for halves and pennies, the gal looked at me funny.

they have never had anyone do pennies.

but when she came out and said....... we have 100 of the big ones. what could i do , but take them home.

nothing like the au condition ones i got last week. not even a type I 76.

i must have 600 of the suckers now. arghhh the weight this poor travel trailer carries.

On the bright side they are still accepted as legal tender for goods and services.
On the brighter side I've seen them go for $1.15 to $1.25 at flea markets!

You do check them for an S mint mark, right?
Those ones will sell a bit higher a lot easier.

There's profit if you melt things!!

Lol...good find! I just sold 48 of them to another member here. I never find them at banks though.

My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

anal me. i sort them all to year and mm, so yes, i would notice an 's'. actually , got 11 of them once at a bank.

out of the 65 i got last week that were unc/bu. one was a 76's.
