I think I heard that you can buy silver from the bank? is this correct? I have had to buy from the coin store but that is only when I am in that town, which is 130 miles away. thanks in advance.

Any reputabel bank should be able to sell you silver. Tehy usually have a minnimum amount (ususally 100oz) and will chard you a price based on the sell price for the day + a commission (usually a few percent) + a bar fee or delivery fee (Usually a flat fee - $50 at my bank)

I have not seen any siver for sale in a bank in the US, and there are several different bank branches near my way. Perhaps in Canada they offer silver for sale in the form of Maple Leafs. Any information on this, forum members in Canada?
(When I posted this, Canadian Nickel's post wasn't shown, even though his post was dated 2 minutes before mine.) |

Please see my response above - only 100oz bars, and you have to order them in - they don't keep them in the bamk branches.

My main bank, Montrose State Bank has a sign up advertising American Eagles, gold or silver at a huge premium. I've seen this at other banks but You'd be better off ordering online. |
