Nice site, but some links and shortcuts don't work. It is good for general info though. Nice post.

Live free or die. Plain and simple.
"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams |

The owner of that site has two books out on just Lincoln Cents. Also, if you join that forum, it's free, you can ask any questions about Lincoln Cents and should always get a great answer. I think you can order one of the books from him. They cover every year of the Lincoln Cents with lots of photos. Also, there is another web site called The Lincoln Resourse Cent web site. |

| Coin web sites, coin books, coin items such as tubes, albums, etc are increasing inspite of the poor economy. I suspect the State Quarters really started a super coin collecting craze. Unfortunately, like most hobbies, this one will deminish eventually. Not die, but drop down in popularity similar to stamps, Beanie Babies, Hot Wheel cars, baseball/football cards. |

Coin collecting may go up and down in popularity but it has been popular around the world for centuries. What I wonder is, is there any glass that just carl actually sees as half full?
Thanks to the members who have posted penny error sites. I created a thread for them - post more and we will add them to the thread.

True and that is why coin collecting will never really die as with so many other hobbies. And those too really don't vanish completely. However, as with Beanie Babies, the values will deminish but never as harshly due to the fact coins are still money. Unfortunately and eventually coins will deminish thier usage as the plastic card popularity continues to grow. Soon enough there will be no necessity to produce coins or even paper currency. |
