Hi all,

One quick post before I go to work-

I was wondering if anyone- you don't have to be too specific or blab too much info if you're worried about privacy- has ever found GOLD coins while roll hunting.

I can't really see it happening in rolled coins, but maybe by buying counted bags, it could happen?

$5 half eagles are almost dead n*ts on in size to a nickel- WHOO! Wouldn't that be a good weekend- get a half eagle for $0.05???

Wags - better luck finding a lot of silver like one of our members - then trading that for gold. If you want to find gold in the wild you might try metal detecting for rings and chains.

daviscfad-there are no other penny forums! (at least none that are worthy) hehehe

I forgot who it was, but someone on Treasurenet found gold in a roll.

I enjoy taking long walks off short piers.

I think we are all Rational Thinkers when it comes to an alleged belief of finding any wild gold.

"Rich," the Old Man said dreamily, "is not baying after what you can't have. Rich is having the time to do what you want to do. Rich is a little whiskey to drink and some food to eat and a roof over your head and a fish pole and a boat and a gun and a dollar for a box of shells. Rich is not owing any money to anybody, and not spending what you haven't got." Robert Ruark

I heard someone on Tnet found a 1 Ducat in a penny roll earlier this year. Last year someone found a 1/4 oz GAE in a quarter roll. I'm still looking for whatever would get caught in a half dollar roll.

Not yet, but the (irrational) thought is always in the back of my head.
I'm probably just not performing the proper ritual prior to selecting a target bank.
