I have been storing my pennies unrolled in Brinks penny boxes. When i was strictly getting boxes of pennies i had a few extra stored up. However the last couple of months I have been getting all CWR from the credit union in fifty dollar bags ie no extra boxes. So recently I have been asking banks for empty boxes even if they do not have any full ones. Today I got a nice score of 6 empty boxes plus one full box so that should get me through a couple more weeks of sorting.

I always got a few boxes along the way. I haven't sorted for a while, sent my Ryedale to my moms to give her something to do. Store my sorted copper in bags. So I have a bunch of boxes, more than I need. I like them, nice size, but will probably end up throwing them away when I move in December.

I've got a bunch of empty boxes sitting around that I don't know what to do with, too.

I enjoy taking long walks off short piers.

I have 2 55 gallon drum bags full of penny boxes that i was going to set out to the curb. I just recently started storing copper in the boxes. I put $20 in each box and then stack them up in a secret location.

If you are interested in some of my boxes, just let me know. They are yours for the cost of shipping.

The bank supply places also sell boxes, you might want to check one of them out. I dont know, but they might be able to sell the boxes and ship them to you cheaper than shipping from me.

Sometimes I reuse them to turn in rolled pennies. Sometimes I give them to another local hoarder that uses them to store his copper. All the extra ones or broken ones I reycle. I take them into work and drop them in the cardboard bin. Then we bail them up, put them in a container, and ship the container off to China.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available.

I plan to eventually recycle all of my penny boxes, but in the meantime I'm going to make a mean collage of penny boxes for my eBay listings:

These boxes come to the banks flat. If someone has a surplus, and others want them, I think they could be collapsed and shipped easily. Should be cheaper then buying them from the bank supply.

So Hoard - that photo I've seen of all those boxes in your closet? Where those full boxes or empty boxes like Nickelless's boxes? Hehehe

I think they are full b/c he has 2 $25 plastic tubs on top of a stack. The stack would crush if the penny boxes were empty.
Also some of the boxes on the top have clear plastic tape on them. These are the style of boxes that do not reseal after you open them.

This one, legacypac?

moboman is correct.. those are full boxes. It is my stack of incoming unsorted boxes. It is always good to have a few boxes in reserve for those weeks you don't get enough pennies at the bank. The $25 plastic portacount trays are CWR. I think the stack was at 165 at that time. I have been trying to work it down a little. I thought maybe that was the pic deal was alluding to when he talked about taking a pic of 160 boxes for his eBay ad. Empty boxes don't stack as well as full boxes.

That they do! I always had problems with knocking my stacks of empty boxes over! So slowly i threw them away when there was room in the garbage can. But now I have soo many that I cant feasibly get rid of them. The Cardboard recycling place our office uses, makes you break everything down, and that's just too much work.

ya they are full because they are sealed still and would not stack like that if they were empty. Just messing with you. If you keep that volume unsorted on hand, you better by a Roll Cracker 1000 and a couple of Ryedales to keep up.
