Could it be that the common man or his money manager is throwing every cent he can scrape up at the low priced, miserable stocks right now, anticipating the bailout to pass and then the stocks to be guaranteed from loss?

just ordered 500 ASE at 2.75 over spot + 3%. Only problem is I have to wait 8 weeks. Oh well wanted to go ahead and lock in the price now before it goes all haywire.

Well, I can't quite figure out how much extra he tacked on and how it was applied. Anways, spot price was around 13.10-13.25 at the time and a sealed box ran me 8094.?? and some change-- thats shipped. So I got them for 16.18 each, one hell of a deal at the time, but... today would have been much better, still kicking myself, 1.00 in spot price drop today alone. I thought silver was headed up. Grrrr The 3% is for a 1.5% comission and supposed to be 1.5% for shipping, but I think it was less than that. It's coloradogold.com. Just don't tell anybody else, he he. It's the best possible deal you can get (that I have found) you just have to order 500 ounces and in increments of 500 ounces as well. At the time it was right around 2.00 per coin under any other places that are selling. But....you have to wait until their next shipment comes in, possible 2 month delay, but you can lock in a price today and get them 2 months from now.

| yeah--it always seems to happen that as soon as you put in a big buy, the price drops--I thought for sure it would go up today as well--oh well, if things work out the way we hope with silver, when we are selling it for upwards of $100 an ounce, the extra $1 won't be a huge difference...but hopefully, if nothing else it will bounce back up here soon so you will at least be back in positive territory...but, you did get a much better deal than any other I am aware of right now--and hopefully he will ship it to you sooner than 2 months--let us know! |

| if you buy less than 20 eagles at apmex its 5.49 over spot... Thats insane.. I am not going to buy ASE's at that spot price.. Its like it doesnt matter that silver is 11 dollars an ounce right now! |

You know,we're making our own case by this complaining. They are asking unprecedented premiums, but by the same token they are paying unprecedented premiums. All just goes to prove PM's are worth WAY more than what spot price is saying.
Nice when the spot is $10.85, but who cares if us and the dealers can't buy at that price?
The point is, there's no accurate measurement of $$ value in existence at this time *except* what apmex and others are charging, because it can't be had for spot prices even by the dealers.
If you want to know what the REAL spot price is, look at what apmex is PAYING.
That's the real world spot, not the paper world. |
