Found another Indian the other night while sorting. It's a 1903 in really rough shape, but an Indian none the less. This is only my second, but at least there still seems to be a few out there!

Are you throwing that out?

It's not amazing when they don't exist.....

Not sure exactly how many sorted, but it is several thousand dollars worth. Probably not more than six though. They simply don't exist....

Which do you think would be tougher to find-
A) An Indian in the wild
B) A 1922 no mint mark
C) A double die 1955
D) The rare and almost never seen eagle in the wild
E)All of the above.

Bragger! :) I pity you though, as I know it is all a delusion -- you are clearly infected by the wild indian pathogen.

I have to be honest, I haven't sorted pennies in several months. My little stream of free pennies got cut off by Wells Fargo and I just haven't bothered to pick up pennies since then. WF wanted to charge me $8 a box, for pennies! I have been sorting nickels heavily looking for silver, buffalo, Westward Journey and pre-1960. I get the nickels from BoA, but they always seem to have nice and shiney (meaning brand new) pennies, and I quit BoA as a penny source too. Several penny skunks from BoA learned me a lesson. I am embarrassed to say (and I won't give the exact amount because it makes me want to throw up) that I have sorted well into the hundreds (plural) of thousands of pennies without finding any so called wild Indian, much less Indians. Sorry, but there just isn't such a thing as a wild Indian. Between Deal and I, I bet we have over one million pennies sorted with no indians. A run like that just can't be bad luck, it is proof positive that wild indians are extinct.

Don't feel bad, Deal, I was looking in my copper pile for the first $4K or so that I sorted. The week I started looking at my zinc pile, I found a 1909-VDB and my first Indian. Yours are out there somewhere.

If you could just point me in the general direction.... Picking up a bag tomorrow from a CU. I have several of them that I need to sort. Maybe in one of those. Or, more than likely, nada.

Is it an Indian penny blank planchet?

Put it on the scale. I find more zinc ones than copper ones. Not really rare, but cool to find.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available.

The secret is in the dance and the feathers used! The dance must rotate clockwise (at least in the Northern hemisphere)and the feathers must be plucked from a gypsy fortuneteller's boa, at midnight, on a full moon! :)

Are you throwing that out?
