I got 2 Brinks Boxes both weighing 14.75 lb, and the typical weight I see is 15.00 + or - .10. I figured they would be very low copper boxes. When I get 15.00 # it's usually 30%. To my surprise they were 29.6%. I had 44 Canadian pennies in the 2 boxes, and they brought the weight down. I do not include the Canadians in the copper percentages.
Pre 1980 - 19 (3.25 g) 1980-1981 - 6 (2.75 g) 1982-1996 - 14 (2.50 g) 1997-Present - 5 (2.25 g)

I had a Brinks box the other day that I thought had a high CU percentage, but it ended up having two extra rolls in it. I have also seen a box that 49 1/2 rolls in it. So yeah those box weights can be tricky...

| I'm averaging 14.6 to 14.8 lbs per box. I consider myself lucky to get a 15 lb, and anything less than 14.2 lbs I don't even open. |

I have never weighed a box. However, I have turned a number of boxes back just because everything I can see on the ends are bright and shiny single dates (all 07 or all 08). Tim's percentages in south Texas are the same I am getting up in the Dallas area. |

There probably was an Indian or three in those boxes that you returned. |

Amen to that!! Last week I got a box from one of my source banks- when I opened it, Most of the coins looked shiny- I thought, "crap." Turned out to be right on the money with a 25% Cu penny spread, and about 30 wheats.

Only when they CAN'T have it, ......THEN they'll want it.
I love Cents. If you get an UNC box, you win. If you get a regular circ. box, you win. If you get a zinc box, you don't lose....so you still win. |
