And who said economics was boring, and economists even more boring. Clearly a must see video!

It is pretty impressive that he correctly made the stagflation call back in 2006. Most of the people I was listening to were still fighting over whether we were heading into an "old-school" deflationary depression or heading into an high speed inflationary spin-out. Turns out both sides were partially right and we are getting to "enjoy" some of each...

Yeah, that guy is always good for a laugh. They should give him a weekly sitcom on FOX.

what happens if FNM and FRE have to be bailout out by the government. That make all this other stuff look like a walk in the park. Including off balance sheet items, they have around $5 trillion in debt between the two of them. That is a little over have the current U.S. national debt. I am hoping very little of that $5 trillion is actually going to go bad. They basically buy mortgages and repackage them to investors... they sign off on them in the process, so they are on the hook to the investors.

I can't remember who said it. They said they wanted to be Fed Chairmen during a Kondratieff Winter. They said that the Federal Reserve could print/lend enough money to overcome it.

Well, we might get a chance to see if they are right.

That was very well done and had me laughing out loud a few times.

My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.
