here in the UK they update currency quite often so obselte currency is weeded out very fast, so unlike those of you In America we can't find silver coins in our change which is a drag. However I'll tell you about my best ever find.

Last year I received a large jar of £1 coins in payment for entry Into a poker cash game I was running, I paid I to the pot in notes, and took the coins for myself, as I don't mind having change. Anyway later on that day as I was bagging up the coins to take them to the bank I found 2 that looked very different. I have no idea how they found their way Ito circulation as they are collectors coins but they were solid gold £1 coins. Which I sold for hundreds on eBay. Best find ever, sadly never again I'm guessing.

Some people here like to search coin rolls for any "wild" silver but I prefer to just look for low-priced auctions for "junk" silver coins (pre-1965 dimes, quarters and halves) and get probably two-thirds of my silver that way. eBay isn't for everyone, but it's been an easy way for me to get silver at a not-too-high price (until recently) instead of chasing down everywhere else trying to look for it.
