Paid $347.91 + 32.40 shipping $380.31 total.

Ribao CS-10 Coin Counter Multi-functional fast coin counter, Counts up to 2300 coins a minute, 1500 coin hopper capacity

Bought it from You must be logged in to see this link.

It does not appear to be cheaply built, however the instructions are very weak. Had it up and running in 5 minutes.

Guys, forgive my ignorance... Do these count coins of only one denomination at a time (e.g., count pennies). Or will they count a mix of denominations at one time? Just curious. Thanks! MaDeuce

It is a single denomination counter. To do a sort/count of mixed coin you would do a count in sequence from largest size down. All the smaller size coins would go to the offsort. Then you would sort/count the next denomination.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

You know I have the biggest hoard.. of coin counters.. on the board.. LOL

I briefly owned a CS-2000.. about 1 notch above the CS-10. Flipped it to a buddy that needed a counter.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

I also own the CS-10!

Bought it brand new in December as well as my Ryedale machine.
I bought the Ryedale first and then within 1 week I was saying "CRAP!!! WHAT AM I GONNA DO WITH ALL OF THIS ZINK!"

So I made a deal with one of my banks that if I purchase a "coin counter" they would give me a pile of there Brinks $50 plasic bags (empy of course) and that way I could bring them in filled with zink the day Brinks comes and they dont have to touch the coin at all.

The CS-10 has been a great low cost machine although as HCBTT has said it is a lot of work to "sort" coins as it only counts one denomination at a time.

To sort coin you would need to set the setting at the largest coin being sorted (quarter) then reset to the next largest coin (Nickel) then resort all of the rejected smaller coins again Etc., Etc.

BUT as I said it works Great as a counter to count $50 bags fast and reliable!!

As a side note... I expect to reach my copper goal in july and then I am planning on selling this machine as well as my ryedale... so keep an eye out on the for sale page as I would prefer to sell them to a member on this forum. (not tying to advertise here, but as I said it may be a lower cost way for someone to get both machines)

Happy Prospecting!

If you are just going to do pennies you shouldn't have to do a lot of sorting with your coin counter. If you need to sort out large piles of mixed coin just get a machine that is designed to do that.. like a De La Rue Mach 7!

I thought you would just set a bigger goal PennyProspector.

That's a nice machine. That beats counting your pennies out in stacks of ten, rows of 5 and columns of 10 for each $5.

Rich is a little whiskey to drink and some food to eat and a roof over your head and a fish pole and a boat and a gun and a dollar for a box of shells. Rich is not owing any money to anybody, and not spending what you haven't got." Robert Ruark

Yeah, it does come in kind of handy.. and the sort/count rate of 4000 coins a minute is a little faster than stacking them. I probably use one of the 3 Glory CN-12 machines for bagging more often though. Even at the super slow rate of 1800 coins a minute they still manage to get the job done. And even though the factory stats say the hopper has a 4000 coin capacity, with pennies the hopper capacity is actually over 5000.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Sorry to let you down HCBTT....

I have the solution that can save you PennyProspector! It just wouldn't be the same without you doing your part at the other end of the country. Just do what I do.. sell off an occasional bag and convert it into silver or gold.. those store much easier. You should diversify your metals holdings anyway.

I think you are fibbing about running out of room too. I seem to remember a picture of a vault posted long ago that you purchased just to store your pennies. Even if you are just such a hard core copper bug that you don't want any PM you should still have plenty of space.. remember, I know exactly how small the footprint of a ton is.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Should I get one? I just got two people who are going to order $150 from me every other week (luckily on opposite weeks) and I'm not going to lie, I'm getting tired of scooping!

How much time do you have on your hands? I don't have too much. This was a great addition to my hoarding capabilities. You can count it out in any size batch with the machine and it's fast, and accurate. More time gives you more time to sort.

Not going to lie, this thing is sooooo worth the $400 I paid!

A Key bank by me is willing to save all their silver coins for me, order as many pennies as i want, take back many bags, as long as they can verify the coins they ship out. I'm not too worried about the ordering, because I can order as many as I want, but that's still pretty sweet.

National City banks are now charging a 3% fee for non-customers, and business customers.. I know quite a few businesses that are not too happy about this and are now rolling their own coins.. The next step with this counter is servicing the vending, dry cleaning, and car washes in the area for a monthly and 2% total coin fee. Pick up, drop off, all the good stuff.

Anyone know of a place to get cheep shotgun rolls and coinlok bags, other than a bank?
