I was looking through the rolls of some CWR I bought earlier today and found these.
I'm assuming the equivalent of the red rolls for pennies and not giving them much thought until I saw this.
My curiosity got the best of me and I had to open them. In those 2 rolls I found 5 war nicks and 6 100% Canadians, one of them a very crisp and shiney '53. The rest of the purple and aqua rolls produced nothing.
I went back to the bank to see if they had any more of the purple rolls. The teller said I got the last of them. She said it was part of a bunch of coins brought in by some middle age folks who inherited their uncles belongings.
She went on to tell me there was an individual in line who saw what was going on and asked to see the quarters, half's, and Eisenhower's after the bank took possesion. He bought over $30 face value in silver.
She let me look through what was left to see if he missed anything, no luck.
I finished sorting the rest of the box. I found another 3 100% Canadians and a dime.
