Have any of you heard from your banks or elsewhere about other people buying coin lots, or come across boxes that have obviously been searched by someone else? I have had banks here in Canada say that they have penny hoarders/collectors coming in and buying coins, when I ask about boxes of nickels. As far as I've discovered, though, I'm the only non-business nickel consumer any of these banks have ever had.

I had a teller say a few people come in to buy cents.
Including myself I say no more than 4 to 5 people.
I was also told that im the only one to purchase nickels in bulk.
Guess they haven't caught on yet.....Took me 4 months of lincoln searching before I started with the jeffersons. |

I haven,t found a sorted one yet. Hoarding nickels (Canadian) for the last month and a half.

I haven't found any sorted boxes, although since they come from Brinks the chances are slim this would happen. I did however get 4 boxes in a row that were 98% or more 2006 Lincolns, apparently straight from the mint.
I haven't really talked to the tellers much about the hoarding. They don't ask, and I don't volunteer to them any ideas

I should add that I use a sharpie and put a little check on the roll.
Never seen one I checked come back to me.
