Oh, I got it! I'm so old I was the one who told Admiral Apolis to name that school after his daughter Ann!

The poll results are making a real nice looking bell curve right now.. if only there were 4 members in the 0-10 range to balance it out!

I'm glad to see there are folks here older than me. It also gives me faith in the younger generations.

Awake, O kings of the earth! Come ye, O, come ye, with your gold and your silver, to the help of my people, to the house of the daughters of Zion, to the help of the people of the God of this Land even Jesus Christ.

Cool! When I was 21-30 the only reason I sorted pennies was because I was broke and wanted beer! Nice to see some younger people with some "cents"!

Are you throwing that out?

21-30 here, and I'm surprised by the number of people on here who are even younger than that. If I had this kind of financial sense when I was younger than 20, I'd be sitting on millions now (well, maybe 100k or so).

If I had been buying silver at $5/oz in 2000 after I had graduated from high school, or been sorting through half dollar rolls, or just generally following the economy at all - who knows how much better off I'd be now.

It really surprises me to see teenagers aware enough of "sound money" that they recognize the value of copper over paper. Most teenagers I meet (I have younger siblings, nothing creepy) view money as being plastic and little else.

It's good to know that at least some kids are still making it through our broken education system with the ability to think for themselves.

If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn't sit for a month.

I still have a couple years 'til I hit the 21-30 bracket. I just wish I would have started sooner!

I was thinking the same thing. Pretty close to a normal curve, just a bit skewed.

I noticed that as well. Can we count my 7 year old? He loves to sort when I let him keep the wheats.

It seems to me unless a young person is <<<exceptional,>> they would lern about the devaluation of our money and hence the intrinsic value of what is left of our coinage from someone older. My homeschooled children are learning about how our govt. is devaluing our money from me in our "economics" class (with a little help from schoolhouse rock, Tyranasaurs Debt).

We started with the last year the US minted a real $1.00 gold coin then compared how much money that much gold would be worth today. Some simple math made that dollar back then worth a little over two cents today. Hummmmm, about as much as the intrinsic value of a copper cent. Now, that's education and something I promise they don't teach in public school.

Wow, this survey says the future of metal investing is pretty good. Many hobbies are dying out because so many kids are on video games, school sports, cell phones, and laptops all day.

And he that hath lyberte ought to kepe hit wel / For nothyng is better than lyberte / For lyberte shold not be wel sold for alle the gold and syluer of all the world.

I suppose the interest is fairly proportional to the population curve:
