Poll Question:
We have a poll for the price people will sell at. What about buy at?

We will called price per penny delivered. (aka $50 for $65+$10 shipping would be 1.5x face value)

Choices:

1.0 cent each
1.1 cent each
1.2 cent each
1.3 cent each
1.4 cent each
1.5 cent each
1.6 cent each
1.7 to 2.0 cent each

I know if I did a cost-benefit analysis it would probably be more cost effective to actually buy the coppers rather than to spend the time and money (gas for driving) to get unsorted pennies and sort them.

I figure if I could go to the store and simply buy pre-sorted coppers I would pay up to 1.4 cents each for them. For now I'm not looking to buy them online.

But much of the fun is in the actual process, from beginning to end, of getting the pennies from the bank, sorting, returning the zinc, and hoarding the copper.

So I'll be a do-it-my-selfer for a while longer.

I am not one of them, but someone paying 1.5x for $75 worth and then paying $10 shipping would be at 1.63.

So i guess they are paying close to 1.6-1.85x per cent. That is around the ebay rate, so it would be better to sell to them.
