Guy has an unopened bag of the three above and asked me if I wanted to buy them.I ask him "what do you want?" and he replies "what will you give me?"
How do I know what these are worth?
The halves he thinks are $500 right from an M&T bank.
The Ike's he thinks are $1,000
And the Quarters he thinks are $500 but he said he opened the bag and took 8 or 9 rolls out for his grandkids.
I don't want to insult him and offer him a low price but then again I don't want to offer him too much.He is about 75yrs old so just going by what he tells me.He also has some bank bags of Pennies but wasn't sure of the years.
Any help is appreciated.

Not much of a market for any of that Bicentennial stuff. The bags don't sound right either. Pretty sure Quarters come in $1000 bags, and I think Halves do too. |

Thats what I thought,but didn't want to argue.As per ebay the BU's seem to go for about 2X face so that might be a price to go by

If it were me i would be willing to buy the Bicentenial stuff at 2-3 times face value. I would be willing to pay 2 times face vaule on the cents. Sight unseen.
These may be worth more because of the condition, but not by much. |
