While sorting I came across a 1971 D that was much thicker than a normal penny. Is this common?

How is it's weight?
And I do think Zinc cents are thinner than the coppers....
So which are you comparing it to?

allot of the '71 and '72s I come across are (seem) thicker and have a deeper inner ridge. Also the relief seems higher on those than the current zincs.
