Hello everyone, this is my first post, but it's a doozy! I have been collecting pennies for about 15 years now by pulling them from circulation and putting them in a 5 gallon water jug. Recently I decided to start seperating pre '82's. Today I decided for the first time to get $25 from the bank. All they had were loose rolls, so I got 50 and went home. Upon opening the first roll, I saw nothing shiny, and got kind of excited. The entire roll was 1960's pennies! The next roll was all 1970's! To make a long story short, of the 50 rolls, 37, yes 37! were ENTIRELY copper! The breakdown is as follows:
1895 coppers 601 zincs 2 wheats 1 dime 1 Malaysian 1 Sen
75% copper! Needless to say, I will be buying more!

Wow. Nice score there. I love it when I buy a box of nickels and it contains some old brown-paper rolls that have little pencil notes on them like the following roll I actually got one time:
"1 x47, 4 x48, 15 x49, 20 x50 = $2"
I didn't even need to open the roll, but I did anyway, just to make sure it ment what I thought it ment.
Yeah, you can always luck out at a bank.

There were three types of wrappers. The 37 all copper rolls were the same wrapper, there were 2 that had older looking wrappers, and 11 newer ones that contained the remaining coppers and the 2 wheats. As I also collect world coins, the 1 sen was a cool find too.

That is better than twice the previous highest reported copper find I can recall. Nice one!
