I've seen nickels and cents from Canada, but what about quarters? While in Ohio, I got a crapload of CA money back in change along with a 1993 quarter. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Nope - Canadian quarter 2000 and before = .999 nickel. 2001-present = steel.

Nickel is only slightly magnetic. Candian coins of the dates you specify are STORNGLY magnetic causing me to believe that they are not .999 nickel but steel. I have some verified pure nickel that I compared this to.

I can find no reliable source that gives the composition of Canadian coins including the Canadian Mint. If a magnet sticks to it, it's most likely steel.
