Rhodium is a member of the Platinum group of metals. Worth much more than platinum. Does anyone know what to look for when searching for it in scrap?

Wish I knew. I've only seen rhodium plating, never solid rhodium.

Thermocouples used to measure extreme heat in furnaces is one source for scrap. I've seen these replaced on blast furnaces and coal boilers in the past. They usually pitch them in a mixed use dumpster when they are replaced. They are woven wire mesh cords with a solid metal (precious?) tab that is usually welded to the steel that it is reading the temperature and tranfering it to a computer in the control room. Wondering how much worthwile scrap is left in them? the link above has some info.
