Gold plunges on Wall Street rally April 01, 2008: 01:56 PM EST
Apr. 1, 2008 (Thomson Financial delivered by Newstex) --

This is nothing more than market manipulation and not a true indication of where the price of gold should actually be at this time. The fundamentals of the tanking economy haven't changed at all and we're begining to see some signs of early electioneering so that the policitcl parties can posture themselves in a favorable light with potential voters. It's all a smoke and mirrors act, but the artifcial supression of the gold and silver prices can't continue forever. These lower prices mean a great buying opportunity.
If you'd planned to buy a roll of silver halves at stash away when $21 silver was with us, use this time to buy more for the same amount that you were going to spend. I was at a coin show in Milwaukee over this weekend and able to purchase US 90% silver in whatever quantity I wanted for $12.50 per $1 face.
Best time to go to a large show is 1-2 hours before most of the dealers are getting ready to leave. They may not have had the sales volume they were hoping for and need some quick cash for expenses, etc. They'll be more inclined to reduce prices in your favor than they would've been 2 days earlier when they were just setting up their tables. Cash is king and the transactions are usually fast, so know what you want and what pricing threshold is acceptable to you before the negotiating begins. |
Here in Wisconsin, we have some of the highest property and gasoline taxes in the US. We're squeezed so much, I have to make my daughter wear penny boxes for shoes. At least she has an endless supply. |
