Hello everyone normally i do mostly silver/gold and use coin inflation to check silver values for buying which got me looking up copper pennies went through 7boxes by hand so far in the past week or so.
Is there any market for these at all currently or mostly just hoarding to sale later down the road?
Thanks everyone for all the great information ive found here

Several people on this board will buy them for 1.5 times face. Also they sell on E-Bay for a bit more maybe 2 times face less costs. Likely, they have not hit their full potential yet, but there is a market for them. |

Thanks for the reply even 1.5face seems worth checking and saving them. Maybe i could put a few ounces of silver into my stash from it.

I ran at least a bag a week on eBay for a year just to check the market, even though I knew it was not fully developed yet. Usually they sold for less than melt less shipping, but sometimes I got some surprises. Prices varied from a low of $77 to a high of $192.50. You should have seen the number of copycat ads that hit eBay after that one auction went so high.. LOL! So there is a market, usually somewhere above face but below melt value. And of course shipping cost is a big factor. |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.
Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available. |

I might be taking advantage of this generosity in the near future to rapidly recoup the cost of purchasing the Ryedale.

Funny thing.. I did make a second chance offer, and it was accepted. Both buyers gave me great feedback, and then never bid on another auction. It is hard to predict the market for copper pennies. |
