I'm fairly new to this penny hoarding thing and am wondering if everyone else is getting lots of canadian cents. I've looked on this site and know which ones to save, but should I be keeping these separate from my other Cu? I'm from Michigan and seem to get more Canadians than 82's. Actually, I'm averaging 34% Cu and of that about 40% are Canadian. On an average $25 Brinks box I'm getting at least $4-5 worth of Canadian. Just wondering if other members are getting lots of Canadian cents?

When my wife got after me it sounded like "Blah,Blah,Blah", but now it sounds like "Clink,Clink,Clink". Its amazing what that Ryedale can do for a hounded husband.

I would keep them seperate. There are 3 or 4 different variations of the CAN copper pennies. 34% is great and to be honest. I would happily take that many CAN pennies lol Here is a link of the current melt values of CAN coins:-)

Yes, look at coinflation. I keep the older Canadian coppers with my US coppers, but then I get 1-2 per $25 box.

I have been working at this slowly by hand and have finally reached $100 dollars face value coppers. I am one of the small hoarders.

Some others on these forums do $100 dollars a day.

I my area I can sort through four boxes to get one good box of copper.

Awake, O kings of the earth! Come ye, O, come ye, with your gold and your silver, to the help of my people, to the house of the daughters of Zion, to the help of the people of the God of this Land even Jesus Christ.

I get about 8 Canadians per $25 box her in Indianpolis. I used to get more, when the US dollar was worth more than the Loon.
