Stopped by one of my tenants yesterday to say hi and being that she knows I'm into coins and such,proceeds to tell me she got 4 ROLLS!!! of silver quarters last week in her change buy.She opened the first one into her drawer and was like wow!!!! went and got another one same thing.She went back to check the rest and found 2 more.The only bag thins was that she got the coins a few days back or I was making a beeline to that bank.
Anyone else ever get a mini-hoard like that?

Make a beeline for that bank anyway. Ask if they have any half dollars also. Merchants never take out half dollars so silver halves could sit there for months.
I had something like this happen right before Christmas. Stopped at one of my banks and asked if they had any half dollars. The teller said he was just waiting for a collector to stop by. He had been holding 6 rolls for a few weeks and he thought they might be worth something someday. There were 99 Silver coins in there!
So go buy dimes, quarters and halves at that bank. What is the worst thing that could happen?
You might also ask your lucky friend if she wants to sell you those 4 rolls of silver quarters. |

In early 2005, I found about $200 in clad silver halves from my local bank just before work. I couldn't think straight being on the job (as a lab tech) as for I was so excited. That was awesome. |

See, for me... until it happens to me, I will continue to be a jealous skeptic....
I know people aren't just making the stories up, but it is just so unreal and has never happened to me... oh well... Maybe next time. |

Yeah it's true.Was actually the second time it happened.About a yr ago,she got one roll of all silvers.My last pizzeria, which I just sold last month, I got 3 silver coins in 7 mos.When I stop in and pick up rent I always go though their drawers.Picture it- Young guy owns plaza,yet comes in and rummages through the cash register-.They love me though and I don't raise their rent.

Former skeptic here.
Got my big silver strike when the Silver Santa visited me right before Xmas. Got 99 silver halves (88 90% and 11 40%) out of 6 rolls.
Even when it is happening to you you can hardly believe it.  |

Had a lady come in tonight to get a few slices.She rummaging in her wallet and I thought I heard something.I look and sure enough I saw it then really heard it when she threw it back in her little change thing.I was like " you have a silver quarter there,she was like yup,I asked if I could have,followed by a nope"GRRRRRRRRRRRR she said she saves them as well.Was going to offer her a buck or two for it,but didn't want to pressure her too much.
