I read your threads On you talking about Brinks pulling copper from boxs. I think I may found why and who they are. Copper shorting could be history after reading this.

Jackson Metals In jackson Ohio was melting down before ban. He talked with Zach Space the 18th distact congressman. If read you press release from The You must be logged in to see this link.

It said he won and Jackson metals May be working Brinks to pull copper from boxs. In press release it looks like Jackson metals are pulling copper big time to create job for 30 men and women.

Space went around the us mint and treasury in press release where Jackson metals can melt down pennys.

Since all Brinks boxs are clean of copper. We are history and we cant short anymore. Your big fear came true. Those Million dollar companys are pulling all copper from bank boxs.

I dont know to do and looks like we are done big time. Any ideas about the press release?

I love those fed boxes and hoard up pre 64 silver coins such as rolls of 64 half dollers. Maybe copper will be very expensive such as silver is.

Interesting article, IT IS OLD THOUGH... so if had gone through then it should have made big news...cause it seems it would have meant the lifting of the melt ban...

But I'm not sure that it has changed anything YET... And I wouldn't get too worried....unless you are in debt from buying Copper SOrters or something.

I'm going to keep plugging along until % drops to 15% or less...then sit back and see what happens next.

"May your percentages ever increase!"

Us mint could repeating history again like In 1967 with silver quarters and dimes in 1967.

["TREASURY DEPARTMENT; WASHINGTON, D.C." letterhead with star-encircled seal on right.]

June 4, 1968

FOR USE IN ANSWER TO INQUIRIES
(Prepared in concurrence with the Federal Reserve System)

Since July 1967, when the Treasury Department ceased its sales of silver at $1.29 per ounce, the Treasury and the Federal Reserve Banks have been issuing clad dimes and quarters only, and holding in inventory mixed silver and clad dimes and quarters as they normally flow back to the Federal Reserve Banks. When these are separated, the clad coins will be returned to circulation and the silver coins will be held at the Mints for melting. The coin-silver bullion will be made available for industrial use through weekly sales by the General Services Administration.

The Bureau of the Mint has been working for some time with commercial firms on the development of machines to separate the mixed coins, which now amount to 3.0 billion dimes and 1.3 billion quarters.

The Mints at Philadelphia and Denver and the San Francisco Assay Office have a number of machines in operation. Several of the larger Federal Reserve Banks have also installed separating machines, furnished by the Bureau of the Mint, and begun operations. These are at Boston, Cleveland and Chicago. Others will follow as separating machines become available.

In 1968 they were removing silver coins and melting them down and replacing with clad coins. Your goverment could be doing this again with all copper pennys 2008

The only victory is that the legislator created the bill. It's highly unlikely to be passed based on remarks from others in congress.

Jackson Metals is located in Jackson County Ohio which is in southeastern Ohio. If it was Jackson Metals that was causing the dud Brinks boxes then I would expect that I would be seeing the problem long before Huston, Texas did. But that is not to say that if Jackson Metals could put together an operation like they did someone else, including Brinks, couldn't do the same.

Actually for someone who already has a big hoard somthing like htis could be ver profitable. If there were a couple huge businesses sorting and melting the numismatic value of the coins we have saved back will sky rocket. No this wont happen in a month but given time and people will be looking through boxes just to find a few coppers much like alot of people do now for wheats. Now I would rather this not happen and the ban not be lifted for atleast 2 years as I am just getting into it and would like to have time to build a good sized hoard myself.

One thing I have learned is you cannot control the things that others do. Just continue to sort and hoard if the melt ben is lifted and you make a huge profit great if the price drops out on copper well you still have a penny thats worth a penny. Just sort and have a good time hopefully downt he line after we all can sell our finds we can get together(maybe in vegas) and talk about the naysayers who think we are crazy over drinks lol

I would love to have about 20 of us meet up in Vegas for a weekend. That would be very cool...and perhaps not too expensive...

Never been to Vegas....Love to gamble....Hmmmm....Sounds good....

Deal

Live free or die.
Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

I didn't expect the industrial sorting to start before the melt ban was lifted. This is exactly what I had thought would happen soon after that date, but I thought it was at least a year or 2 off. Well, this certainly increases the challenge.

Vegas sounds good to me.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available.
