Nightly Business Report (NBR) did a quick segment on gold, and how it has gone up $100 a year for several years.

Gold is starting to make an impression, though for the Wall Street crown gold ETFs and gold mutual funds will be the things they push.

I picked up a popular investment magazine yesterday while getting my hair cut and they were all excited about gold. But like you said pencilvanian, they pushed every investment related to gold but physical gold itself.

Most of my friends are really into the stock market. Lately they've shown a strong interest in gold, but like you've both mentioned, everything but physical gold. Nevertheless, I imagine it's only a matter of time before the smart players in the "paper gold" crowd turn to physical gold. I've noticed young people especially are receptive to owning physical gold. They're frustrated, however, because they don't have the cash to buy much. (like fiatboy )

Very very slowly, people are connecting the dots....
