Very interesting charts. IF I read the yearly chart labeled "monthly silver", I'd say the current ratio of gold to silver is about in the general range that it has been since 1986 (about 60 to 80); prior to that time, it looks like the ratio was much lower. The bottom 2 charts on the first link show some pronounced seasonal trends, but I can't make out which date line goes with which chart line. In any event, gold/silver may be in a new era; the WallStreet Journal had an article Saturday about just over 50% of current gold purchases were coin/monetary purchases, which is very different from the historic buying which used to be 66% jewlery, and a much smaller percent for coin/monetary reasons.
