| The jobs aren't coming back no matter who is the President. Companies are continuing to hire overseas in countries where the standard of living is lower; but not here in the USA. The philosophy of globalization is entrenched deeply now. Of course, there will be some new jobs created, but they will be mostly part-time positions in service industries. In fact, the small increase in the number of jobs in the latest job statistics only reflects an increase in part-time hiring; while full-time hiring is declining in a big way. There will be no turning back, as production facilities and hiring has moved to the lowest common denominator as our politicians, both Republican and Democratic have sold us out. |

The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life. – Theodore Roosevelt

Exactly, this has been going on for decades now. Both parties have sold us out but the democrats have been the latest. The democrats promised to repeal trade agreements such as NAFTA but have taken no action. They did stall any new such trade agreements from taking effect. But the damage has been done and the collapse won't recover until there are jobs again. |
