Odd. The other day I saw Cu pennies on ebay go for 2x face.
Selling rolls of ultra-rare 1956-1958 wheat pennies for a mere $5 shipped.

I know! I watch them to see what the are going for. This seller usually seems to get the higher price over face usually lately I would say its been 1.5-1.7 average.

I think it just depends on who wants them that particular auction. Or whether or not there is a bidding war occuring... unless the lower sell amount continues to happen, it was probably just a fluke by random chance that it didnt sell higher.

Wait didn't Pennybullion Inc. switch hands over a year ago? I thought the original Pennybullion was going away or something and transferred the business to another member...


All i can remember is when Pennybullion was posting is the monopoly that member had on Ebay and probably still does impressive is all i mean by this.

Perhaps the price drop is related to the surge in silver/gold. People flock to that which is hot at the moment; they buy high and sell low.
